By request we made some smoke roasted salsa in our Pit Boss Vertical Pellet Smoker and wow... not only was it easy to do it was absolutely delicious.

We used 5 Roma tomatoes, a couple handfuls of cherry tomatoes, 2 large jalapeno peppers, a whole medium yellow onion, about 6 cloves of garlic, half a bunch of cilantro, and some smoked salt and smoked pepper.

Cut the tomatoes in half, cut the tops off the jalepenos, quarter the onion, and cut the top off the garlic.

We smoked all of the vegetables in the Pit Boss Vertical Pellet Smoker at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for the first hour and then 250 degrees for the second hour.

For our pellets we used a 50/50 blend of the new Pit Boss charcoal flavored pellets and the Pit Boss Competition blend pellets.

Combine all of the ingredients into a food processor and you now have some amazing smoke roasted/ smoked salsa.

Add the juice of one lime and smoked salt and pepper to taste.

Enjoy.
