Sam was standing in the kitchen and I sat on the side of his shower bench (we also use it for meal times 🤷‍♀️). He came over to me and kinda flopped at me so I asked if he wanted to sit on me. (I do it to him a lot.) He said yes and I helped him sit down.

Y’all he was so dang HAPPY!! I HAD to take a video!! Then he kinda coughed some spit chocolate right in my eyes, which was so gross but also hilarious 😹 (Shout out to Beacon of Hope for the fancy chocolate!)

Anyway, I just love this video for so many reasons: 1) he came over to me ON HIS OWN! He thought of sitting on me and loving on me ON HIS OWN!!! 2) He was so happy and so proud 🤩 3) At the very end, you can hear him say, ‘yeah!’ It’s pretty quiet but it’s totally there!!

The progress continues y’all! Some very exciting times are right around the corner. 1) We’re only $1111 away from our current fundraiser goal for the Shed Light cool laser (gf.me/u/yq48hr) I’m so excited to see the changes in Sam from this amazing tool!! 2) We’re headed into Mission early tomorrow morning for an EEG. There’s nothing wrong! We are about to start lowering his seizure meds and his doctors want a baseline before we start. My goal is for him to be prescription free (🤞🤞🤞) but I want to proceed as safely as possible and make sure we’re making the right decisions. I’ll give more info into that process as it continues, including how a local company has given us even more hope that a natural route is possible for Sam!!
