The Lexus GX came out in 2003 and was replaced by the GX 460 in 2010. The Lexus GX off road capability is top notch and both have many options that enable them to perform well offroad or in overlanding such as full time 4wd (AWD), low gearing, center locking differentials and descent control. And while both have similar performance under the hood and in the chassis important differences exist that could change which model you find best offroad.
