North Stradbroke Island or (Minjerribah) as it is called by the local custodians, is an Island paradise for all, it has a lay back atmosphere and is full of wild life, beautiful beaches and has great fishing and bushwalking, but we are going to take you on a journey to show you a little known side of it, the freshwater habitats or biotopes as they are called have some beautiful fish and many other inhabitants, so join us on this journey to paradise just a short ferry ride from the biggest city in Queensland Brisbane Australia, you will be surprised at what you can find so close to civilisation, you could be a million miles away, and that's how I feel every time I go there.
