This video is a multi-media version of the essay I will be writing on exam day. The topic of my essay is: The Devastating Effects of Residential Schools on First Nation Culture. I believe I have encouraged the audience's interest and attracted their attention by using a number of simple tricks. I have used the zoom setting which appears to bring the text towards the audience, I have highlighted in red any important words, I have used one easy to read font throughout, and presented the text in a well-organized manner. I have included several pictures of some things characteristic of Aboriginal people as well as photographs taken in the residential schools. I have also used traditional Ojibwe and other types of Aboriginal music throughout the video presentation and sound effects towards the end of the video for dramatic effect. All of the photos were found on Google Images and all of the music featured in the video was found on YouTube. I spent many hours creating this multi-media presentation and I hope you enjoy it.
