Sup guys, welcome back to the channel! Shoutout to @charged.3gr & @j_de.t4r for gifting me these JDM mirror covers for Christmas back in 2020 lol. After sitting on the side with the rest of the collections of parts I sitting and waiting to be installed, I've finally threw them on 😂

If you're interested in getting these mirror covers, I'm not sure if they're still in production but you can check out @formidable_4runner on Instagram and shoot him a DM.

Here's also some important key notes if you plan to do this install yourself including some wiring notes:

THE 3 SCREWS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SIDE MIRROR BASE MAY SOMETIMES BREAK! This is my 2nd install doing these side mirrors and I've have the same thing happen with my previous install on @charged.3gr's runner [   • JDM 4Runner Side Mirrors w/ Turn Sign...  ]. I would DEFINITELY recommend having a drill bit & tap set handy (tap size: M5-.80) and also some extra M5-.80 bolt/screws. Length may probably be 20-25mm, (I had 50mm just because that's what I already had in my toolbox from a previous project, but I had cut them down to match the size of the original screws. sorry I forgot to take note of what length I had cut them down to, but if you do pick up new bolts (for just in case) I would get the same length just so you don't have to go through the extra step of having to cut them down to length.

WIRING! Keep in mind that this color configuration is according to a 2001 Tacoma. Colors may differ from 95-00 or 02-04 so I would double check wiring diagrams online or if you're handy with a multimeter and tracing wires and voltage which is what I did, you can do that too. If you have a 2001 then you should be fine, but I would still double check. Colors may also differ if you have a 4Runner so again, confirm with your specific year's wiring diagram. If not, you can always run the wires straight to the parking lights, and turn signals. Puddle lights are all the same regardless of year.

PUDDLE LIGHTS (2WIRE / WHITE & BLACK):
WHITE WIRE - 12V CONSTANT (I previously ran my own wire straight to the battery with a fuse)
BLACK WIRE - To the door triggers

WHITE MARKER/ AMBER SIGNAL LIGHTS (3 WIRE / BLUE, RED , BLACK)
BOTH BLACK WIRES - Splice together to a ground source [either ground wire or to the chassis]
BOTH BLUE WIRES - Splice together to the GREEN WIRE w/ RED STRIPE (at the dimmer switch on your instrument cluster) OR if you have a hard time finding your parking light power you can run your own wires directly to the positive wire of your parking light wires [figure out which color wire is the positive wire by searching on google, using a multimeter, or chancing em and connecting to either or lol.]
RED WIRE from DRIVERS SIDE mirror - Splice to SOLID GREEN WIRE (NO STRIPES) (Underneath the steering wheel. Make sure its the same loom of wires that’s connected to your headlight/turn signal switch stalk) OR run a wire directly to the positive wire of your left signal light at the signal light itself.
RED WIRE from PASSENGER SIDE mirror - Splice to GREEN WIRE w/ WHITE STRIPE, or run a wire straight to the light.

Make sure you look closely at the wires with stripes, because it may be easy to mistake a green wire with a white stripe for a white wire with a green stripe. The striped colors are supposed to be a thin stripe over the main color wire, if that makes sense.
