This story is set in Cairo, Egypt where a poor, Indonesia student was on a scholarship in Egypt, where he met 4 different women whom all fell in love with him. Ayat Ayat Cinta was selected as the lead single of the album soundtrack to promote the film. The song was sung by popular Indonesian singer, Rossa, and was a commercial success.
