Several opposition MPs boycotted a parliamentary committee meeting on Monday, protesting against the handling of the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. They accused the panel of not following proper rules and procedures. MPs like Gaurav Gogoi (Congress), A Raja (DMK), Arvind Sawant (Shiv Sena UBT), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), and others walked out, expressing their discontent with the proceedings. Sawant later told reporters that the committee was not functioning as per regulations.
