Arosa is a ski resort located in the Canton of Graubünden aka Grison in Eastern Switzerland. since 2014, the built of Urden aerial tramway connects Arosa with Lenzerheide and valbella, and by that extends the contiguous ski area of Arosa from only 70km to a total of 225km of connected ski runs. The creation of the new arosa lenzerheide ski area made it one of the largest in switzelrland.

there are 3 airports proximate to the ski resort. The major Airport is Zurich, located at a distance of 173 km and takes almost 2 hours 10 minutes to reach the Arosa by road. The second Airport is Friedrichshafen, Germany, which is 153 km away from the ski resort and at and driving time of 2 hours 7 minutes. The closest airport is St Gallen which is 117 km from Arosa and the driving time is about 1 hour 37 minutes
if you are flying to Zurich airport, it is recommended to take the train from the terminal with changes in Zurich central station and chur, with amazing views in less than 3 hours directly to Weisshorn cable car in downtown Arosa.

Arosa Lenzerheide has 225 kilometers of ski slopes and 43 lifts that make it the largest contiguous ski area in Graubünden.
ski season at Arosa Lenzerheide is from late November to mid-April.
elevations of slopes are between 1,229 and 2,865 m.
at the height of 174O meters, the town of Arosa receive about 7 meters of snowfall per year making it the snowiest town in Switzerland!
The well-maintained ski slopes of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area is divided between 12% black, 39% red, and 49% blue runs.
The 6-day ski pass prices are 354€ for adults, 300€ for 18-26 yo, 219€ for 13-17 yo, and 98€ for 5-13 yo.
The ski area has 225 km ski slopes and 43 lifts, and is situated between the elevations of 1,229 and 2,865 m.The well-maintained ski slopes of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area is divided between 12% black, 39% red, and 49% blue runs.
the ski area of Arosa itself is an eastern facing bowl. From the north side it is dominated by the 2653 meters Weisshorn peak, the highest point in the Arosa area. On the top of it you have 360° panoramic view restaurant where you can see the city of Chur. From here you can take run 10, the longest in the ski area which begins in a north side, outer rim of the bowl and then turn south to the middle of the ski area.
on the southern side of the bowl is Hornli peak where you can find good off-piste at late season because it is the most shadowed area.
here, of course, is the connection to Lenzerheida, Valbela and parpan.
most of the ski area between this 2 peaks is a lot of cruising reds and blue with good chairlifts.
Among the 43 lifts in the ski resort, the Hörnli Express and the Urden cable car are the most important ones. You can also find 11.5 km sledding runs here for winter sports.
Bound the bowl in the middle east part of the ski area is Tchuggen mountain
Which is a kind of a hub of the area and where you can find the largest snowpark in all of Arosa- Lenzeheida area.
Here are the most important lifts to know:
if you stay at the lake area,
the weisshorn system that will lift you, all the way to weisshorn peak.
Tchuggen east chairlift that will take to the top of Tchuggen mountain, the snow park and a 5 minutes run to Hornli express lift.
If you stay at inner arosa,
inner arosa - Tchuggen gondola, which is the ski school meeting point, and will take you to top of Tchuggen mountain.
Hornli express gondola, that will take you to Hornli peak and Urden cable car.
last and not list is ofcourse Urden cable car, that stretched more than a mile over the Urden valley
and connect Arosa to Urdenfurggli peak and lenzerheide, valbela and parpan ski resorts. You can ski directly from Urden cable car to these 3 villages, and also to Churwalden which is connected as well and is the lowst altitude of tha ski area.

Arosa nestled around a lake, that become a big natural ice-skating rink in most of the winter. The lake and town center altitude is 1740 meter.
The south side of Arosa extends west, and south of the Tchuggen mountain
into inner Arosa while climbing to elevation of more than 1850 meters at the western end. Inner Arosa is located the closest to the connection to valbela and Lenzerheide .
Like most swiss resorts, Arosa is rich with traditional winter sports.
you can ice skate on the frozen lake.
there are 6 km of sledges runs in Arosa,
you can find here almost 40km of cross-country ski trails,
and many walking trails.
The two most recommended Après-ski bars at Arosa are KuhBar on Tschuggen peak and overtime, in downtown near the lake.
