This easy smoked Mac and cheese recipe is really just that.. EASY!
Ingredients:
16 ounces velveeta cheese
16 ounces elbow noodles
4 cups milk
8 ounces cheddar cheese
8 ounces pepper jack cheese
8 ounces cream cheese
creole seasoning
Place a 16 ounce block of velveeta cheese in a roasting pan. Pour in 16 ounces of uncooked elbow noodles around the cheese block. Pour in 4 cups of milk. Next add in a total of 16 ounces home shredded cheese (not the pre shredded kind). You can use whatever variation of cheese you want based on your flavor profile. I used 8 ounces cheddar and 8 ounces of pepper jack. Then add in 8 ounces of cream cheese softened and cubed. Sprinkle on some creole seasoning or some bbq rub and smoke for 90 minutes at 275 stirring halfway. I added more seasoning at the 45 minute mark.
