How does 'Children of Men' reflect society?

War, famine, poverty, corruption, police brutality and countless more atrocities now plague the world. All those dystopian movies that were created for entertainment are more accurate reflections of society than ever before. The best example of that: Children of Men.

'Children of Men' takes place in a world where there's been 18 years of infertility and the most orderly country in the world is a totalitarian police state. All of the violence seems extreme, but it's actually a brutally real example of what's going on across the world RIGHT NOW. Immigrants in cages, merciless police, xenophobia, climate change, disease, cruelty, the list goes on...
