Living in central Florida, there are so many one-tank road trips you can take. And there are plenty of awesome places to visit like Mount Dora.

From where we live (Seffner, FL, the Tampa area), it was just under two hours to Mount Dora. Of course, we stopped for some breakfast on the road at The Strawberry Hut in Plant City before jumping on I4.

Once we got to Mount Dora, it was clear that this is a haven of mom-and-pop restaurants and stores, plenty of antique and boutique shops, quaint hotels, boat tours, and some of the friendliest folks.

We also learned that Mount Dora is the highest point in the state of Florida.

Our highlight was eating at the Magical Meat Boutique. We got to chat with the owner's wife and our server Mike was so kind and just a really cool person to talk to (he's in our video here and shared a ton of great info about Magical Meat Boutique and what it's like living in Mount Dora).

We walked around to several shops which included buying soap at Naples Soap Company. And we finished with some gelato from Mount Dora Confectionary.

This was an absolute wonderful trip and it's a place we plan to visit again soon!
