Horizontal braces are placed at the bottom of the scaffold and also as a guard around the platform. Four horizontal braces are recommended for each platform level plus two for the bottom.
Diagonal braces are the main components that hold the scaffold in place, four diagonal braces are required for every two metres up.
Stabilisers are used to secure the scaffold from tilting over.
