This state park was located one mile from our campsite and offers some spectacular views of Escalante and lost of example of petrified trees. It's a nice hiking trail that leads uphill for the first portion but after that it flattens out as you walk through the forest and explore the pieces of petrified trees. There's also a large tree and garden near the parking lot that folks can check out as well. It's definitely a nice place to visit and learn from.
