The Petrified Forest National Park is 120 miles east of Flagstaff, AZ Near Holbrook in Navajo County.
Petrified Forest is best known for its Triassic fossils. It is the most continuous section anywhere in the world. Most of the petrified tree were deposited 211 to 218 million years old.
We took a day trip to explore and get to know more about this National Park.
