What are your expectations for the upcoming The Last of Us? 📺

With the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us arriving on the 15th, I thought it would be interesting to examine the game for the last time and ponder about the elements of it are translated into a non-interactive medium.

As I was working on the essay two things happened. 1) The New Yorker released an article about the creation of the show which contradicted most of the points that I had already raised in the previous version. After writing the second version, 2) the review embargo lifted.

So it should be noted that I haven't read any of the reviews for the show and don't know any of the details. This video is barely my speculation based on the materials that were released about the show prior to the review embargo lifting (e.g. trailers, interviews, Mazin on Scriptnotes, etc.)
