The DIY process begins with a piece of metal tubing with an outer diameter of 7mm and an inner diameter of 6mm.

First, I cut a piece of a wooden hanger and drill a 7mm hole into it using a drill press to insert the metal tube. Then, I glue MDF sheets around the piece of the hanger to ensure the doweling jig I am making can be easily aligned correctly on all the hangers. This DIY woodworking jig will allow me to drill a 6mm hole in all the wooden hangers for making the wooden dowel joints.

Additionally, the video includes a useful tip on how to drill small pieces using a drill press. I show how to use a drill press vise and a simple trick to secure the small wooden piece effectively.
