If you had to travel across the US on one penny, and make a video everyday…what would you do?
@ryan began his penny series in June 2022. The goal was simple--live on a penny for 30 days. The results were staggering: 200 million views in a month, and 14 million meals donated to charity. But perhaps the true secret to Ryan, is his comedy, and how it’s told through editing.
Behind those hilarious cuts, is the man who edited the penny series in the back of a van: Zach Levet. Today on the podcast, Jordan and Hayden sit down with Ryan Trahan and his editor Zach Levet and discuss how these videos went from raw footage to a cult classic YouTube series.
