So many children and young people are missing out on a third of their daily food and nutrient intake by skipping breakfast, with detrimental effects on their physical health, mental wellbeing, and education. In this Magic Morning, we will be focusing on the importance of nutrition, with a spotlight on ‘No Food for Thought’, a scientific research review authored by the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF), supported by Magic Breakfast, and funded by Quaker, Heinz and Arla.

Our CEO Lindsey MacDonald chairs the event, introducing some expert speakers, including:

· Ayela Spiro, Nutrition Science Manager from the BNF, who will present key findings from the ‘No Food for Thought’ research review, delving into the impact of poor morning nutrition on children and young people, and the difference breakfast can make

· Charlie MacEwan, Corporate Communications Director at WPA and Director of Good Causes at the WPA Benevolent Foundation, who will be discussing why they support Magic Breakfast

· Shirley Green and Michelle Blanchard, Breakfast Club Co-ordinators and Learning Mentors, from one of our partner schools, discussing the impact of a nutritious breakfast on their children and young people and wider school community

Join us for a brilliant discussion on the impact of a nutritious breakfast!
