Streets full of bougainvillea overflowing between historical mansions, a lush nature and a deep blue sea… Today, we are on Büyükada, the largest of the Prince Islands, which was called 'Prinkipo' in the Byzantine period. With its history dating back to the Byzantine and Ottoman periods, this special island is like a breath of fresh air, one ferry away from the city today.
The island, which hosts many tourists especially in the summer and spring months has also fulltime residents who are lucky enough to enjoy the place all the time.
