In this video I show you the cheapest and easiest way to clean your saw blades and drill and router bits. Saw blades often get gunked up if you are cutting green wood, or wood that has alot of sap in it. The sap hardens and is very difficult to get off, and not just any cleaner can get sap off. This is why saw blade cleaner tends to be expensive, running about $15 plus a bottle. They also make blade scraping jigs for more difficult cleaning jobs.

I discovered a cheap cleaner at the dollar store that gets off the sap with little to no scrubbing if you let it sit for a bit. The cleaner is LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner and Degreaser. It cost me $1.25 at Dollar Tree, but it is available other places as well. I also bought a nylon/plastic scrub brush and a metal pizza pan for $1.25 each to use. For a total of $3.75, you can clean all your blades and bits quickly and easily using this method.

At the end, I show you how to properly prepare your saw blades for storage or use, as well.

Works For Table Saw Blades, Circular Saw Blades, Jigsaw Blades, Router Bits, Drill bits, and everything in between.
