On 16 June 2024, the Alstom Movia R151 trains have officially begun their full day daily journeys on the Changi Airport Line, just 2 weeks after the first of the R151 trains ran on the North-South Line, and a year after the R151s first ran on the main East-West Line.

The rollout of the new trains on the airport service is a major change and a big welcome as the sleek and futuristic looking trains blend in well with the also futuristic and sleek stations of the airport line, bringing a refreshed look and improved ride comfort.

The next day, on 17 June 2024, 1809/1810, one of the few R151 trains fitted with Automatic Track Inspection equipment was deployed on the airport service in the afternoon as T103.
