Our first stop in Montana was a sweet #harvesthost spot called Black Wolf Ranch. Our campsite on the ranch had amazing views of the mountains surrounding the ranch. This ranch is the biggest alpaca ranch in Montana with over 230 animal and a dozen sheep. The animals are raised specifically for the fleece in their coats. The host was so kind to let us feed a few of the alpacas and educate us about the animals. It was fascinating to learn all about alpacas and the processing of their fleece to make yarn. They were so cute and the girls loved it.

We continued to move North, and the weather was heating up in Montana! Fortunately, we were ready for it. We set up camp for a few nights at a dispersed site near the North Fork Flathead River. We played at the river all afternoon and cooled off with a few hours of A/C before dinner. All the hard work in installing our solar/battery setup has definitely paid off this trip.
