On March 14, 15, and 16, 2024, the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad held their spring meeting and get-together. One of the activities was to take the Sunset Serenade excursion on Sky Railway. Departing Santa Fe at 6:05 PM, the train moves slowly toward the Galisteo Basin.
While the weather was unpredictable springlike, the riders enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and entertainment.
Before it got too dark, we caught it as it crossed Rabbit Road in south Santa Fe and moved at restricted speed over the curved trestle over Arroyo Hondo.
