असम की हिमंता सरकार एक बार फिर विपक्ष के निशाने पर है. विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ने नमाज़ ब्रेक हटाया तो विपक्ष मुख्यमंत्री पर हमलावर हो गया. साल 1937 से असम विधानसभा के सदस्यों और कर्मचारियों को एक सहूलियत मिलती आ रही थी. इसे नमाज़ ब्रेक कहा जाता था. मुस्लिम विधायकों और कर्मचारियों को जुमे के दिन नमाज़ के लिए दो घंटे का स्पेशल ब्रेक दिया जाता था.. लेकिन अब इसे बंद कर दिया गया था... यहां ये बताना ज़रूरी है कि ऐसा नियम देश की किसी भी विधानसभा में नहीं था. सीएम हिमंता ने कहा है कि ब्रिटिश काल का एक और औपनिवेशिक नियम बदल दिया गया है.. जो समानता की भावना को और मज़बूत करेगी. साथ ही विधानसभा की प्रोडक्टिविटी बढ़ाने में भी मदद मिलेगी. लेकिन विपक्ष इसे बीजेपी की मुस्लिम विरोधी मानसिकता का हिस्सा मानता है. ओवैसी की पार्टी से लेकर RJD और कांग्रेस तक, हिमंता सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ लामबंद हो गई है. कोई कह रहा है कि ये फ़ैसला बीजेपी के मुस्लिम विरोध पर मुहर लगाता है तो कोई इसे मुस्लिमों के प्रति नफ़रत में लिया गया क़दम बता रहा है. दहाड़ में हम इसी मुद्दे पर करेंगे सबसे बड़ी चर्चा. लेकिन उससे पहले सुनिए कि असम विधानसभा में नमाज़ ब्रेक बंद हुआ तो कैसे सियासी बवंडर खड़ा हो गया है.

The Himanta government of Assam is once again on the target of the opposition. When the Speaker of the Assembly removed the Namaz break, the opposition attacked the Chief Minister. Since the year 1937, the members and employees of the Assam Legislative Assembly were getting a facility. It was called Namaz break. CM Himanta has said that another colonial rule of the British era has been changed.. which will further strengthen the spirit of equality. It will also help in increasing the productivity of the assembly. But the opposition considers it a part of the anti-Muslim mentality of the BJP. From Owaisi's party to RJD and Congress, everyone has rallied against the Himanta government. Some are saying that this decision confirms the BJP's anti-Muslim attitude, while some are calling it a step taken out of hatred towards Muslims.
