Rikki Fulton played the dour and depressed Rev. Jolly for over 20 years, his annual Hogmanay sketch becoming a must-see for viewers of BBC Scotland. A parody of the gloomy churchmen who appeared on late night Scottish television screens, the Rev. Jolly became an iconic comic character.
