Welcome to another week with us here at InCourage. This week Nicolene unpacks the prophetic gift.

In Romans 12:6, Paul reminds us that each of us has been given different gifts, 'according to the grace given to us.'
6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if [someone has the gift of] prophecy, [let him speak a new message from God to His people] in proportion to the faith possessed; 7 if service, in the act of serving; or he who teaches, in the act of teaching; 8 or he who encourages, in the act of encouragement; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, [d]with diligence; he who shows mercy [in caring for others], with cheerfulness.

Romans 12 gifts are natural character and personality wiring.
These in-built tendencies, given to each person by the Creator’s unique workmanship, are part of each person’s initial gifting.


What is prophecy?
The gift of communicating and enforcing revealed truth.
When last Have you heard God speak to you? God’s voice in my life – has changed my life.
New covenant Access: When you picture a prophet, you may picture someone telling you the future. But since we have a New covenant – new access, new power, we enter into personal access.
 God desires everyone one of us to hear His voice.
 God wants to speak to you.
 You no longer need to wait for a prophet?

God is always speaking – we not always listening.
The Static Radio - Imagine tuning a radio. Sometimes, you hear nothing but static. Other times, you catch a faint signal. The problem isn’t with the radio station—it’s always broadcasting. The issue is with the tuner. Our relationship with God is like that. God is always speaking to us, but if our hearts are filled with "static"—distractions, sin, or busyness—we won’t hear Him clearly. IT’S NOT THAT GOD IS SILENT; WE NEED TO ADJUST OUR SPIRITUAL TUNER.
