Ask anyone about their favourite performance car, and someone is going to mention a Honda. They might be the butt of many jokes about Grandad's motoring choice - but there is no denying the fact the company has made some truly brilliant cars. From the Integra Type-R, to the NSX, you can never quite work out what the Japanese giant will do next.

In 1999, Honda released the S2000 - their take on the compact sports convertible segment traditionally dominated by the Mazda MX-5. The beating heart of this car though was one of the most iconic NA engines of all time - the stonking, 9000rpm F20C.

Nearly 20 years on, how does this legendary car feel to drive on some great British B-roads?
