How to clean your edible printer. This is a Canon Pixma IX6820 printhead. However, this technique works with all canon models with a similar printhead. Learn how to remove your printhead and clear clogs that cause lines and missing colors on your prints. This is for cleaning your edible printer on a routine basis and for fixing clogs! Don't throw in the towel until you try this! I have cleaned a print head that sat for over a year and had it working good as new!

Many people soak their print head or run it under warm water to clean it. Sometimes using a syringe to push some water through. But NOT enough! Watch how much water should be coming through a clean print head! This is how you break up clogs inside the printhead! All the ejection ports must be free-flowing and clean to have full color run through them. You can have some running clean and others still clogged!

Things you need:
~A Canon Edible Printer (Icing Images)
~ Cleaning syringe and cleaning solution. (I did not use the solution in this video, but it does help soften nasty clogs)
~ A sink to work in and some cleaning products to clean up the area when you are done! Because I clean my printhead in a white sink, I keep some Clorox bleach spray nearby to spray it down when I am through!
