I tried the --sref in midjourney and it is ccompletely different from SDXL controlnet, ipadapter and other methods of style transfer. This is the most realistic way I found to create realisitic images. One thing to rememeber is ALWAYS USE MULTIPLE REFERENCES in --sref so the faces are not similar, as multiple references faces mix up to provide details and will not be similar with any one face. Using single reference image can make output look somewhat similar but I have never seen it produce exact same face.
