This video focuses on "Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel" ("Shutoken-Gaikaku-Hōsuiro") in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture.
This facility is a flood control facility to take water from five rivers and guide it to the Edogawa River when a flood occurs.
As a downstream resident who is a beneficiary of this project, I am grateful and proud to have an underground dam like this facility in my neighborhood.
