I’ve always loved TITANFALL 2, and with Titanfall 3 feeling more possible than ever, I wanted to do a deep game design anlysis of the game’s multiplayer.

With the revival of the Vanilla Servers, I jumped back in recently and I’ve identified what I believe are some core issues that, if corrected, could see Titanfall 3 redefine the FPS landscape and AAA Games the way it was always meant to.
This Critique/ Game Design Analysis/ Video Essay takes an in-depth look at Titanfall’s core, auxiliary and meta mechanics (specifically in regards to multiplayer, the campaign is flawless).

A lot of my critiques are based on how Titans impact the Pilot gameplay. I think the ease with which titans can kill pilots heavily punished the game’s core appeal of fast-paced and dynamic movement.
