In this video I built a home-made DIY version of the Platform studio desk by Output using limited tools like a circular saw, trim router, and a drill. It's probably the best studio desk on the market today, featuring a shelf for computer screens, monitor speakers, rackmounts for audio gear, cable guides and cutouts, and a sliding keyboard tray for controllers.

All in all the project cost about $300 in materials and several days in time. The desk as optioned here would cost $898 (799+99 shipping). The desk is made from 3/4" baltic birch plywood and finished with dark walnut oil finish and shellac.

The finished result is a fully-operational music battlestation, a studio desk which competes with the most expensive ironclad behemoths at a fraction of the weight and cost.
