Hello followers! I’m here with another delicious Afghan dessert recipe called Goosh-e fill,(elephant ear). This sweet treat is known for its crispy texture and unique shape, resembling an elephant’s ear. It’s typically made with a simple dough, flavored with cardamom, and fried until golden brown, then dusted with powdered sugar. Let’s dive into this delightful recipe!

Ingredients:

• 1 kg flour
• 1 cup (150 g) shortening oil
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup of milk (adjust according to your flour)
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 cup of powdered sugar
• Cardamom powder (to taste)
• Pistachio powder (for garnish)
• Liquid oil (for frying)

Description:
First, rub the oil and flour together thoroughly. Then, add the baking soda and cardamom powder. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix well. Combine everything to form a medium-soft dough and let it rest for 5-6 hours.

Using a special pasta maker, stretch the dough according to the settings 1-3-5-7 (or depending on your machine). The dough must be thin enough. Cut and shape it as desired.

Fry the shaped dough in hot oil and dust them with powdered sugar and pistachio powder.

Enjoy!
