GREEN JERSEY GIRMAY BEATS KING CAV
Biniam Girmay has won the 18th edition of the Heylen Vastgoed after-Tour Criterium. In a sprint of three, the green jersey of the past Tour de France won ahead of the farewell Mark Cavendish and Belgian champion Arnaud De Lie.

With some delay and weighed down by sporadic rain, the men started their post-Tour criterium in Herentals on Thursday evening. Fifty laps had to be completed in the city centre. In the end, the public, totalling some 25,000 spectators, saw Girmay cross the line first.
