Hello! This is the MJWS editing room.
Do you know the Shonan Monorail, a suspended monorail that connects Ofuna to Shonan Enoshima? Did you know that from Ofuna Station, where this Shonan Monorail departs, there used to be a straddle-type monorail manufactured by Toshiba, called the Alweg-type monorail? This video introduces the discontinued railway line called Ofuna Dreamland Monorail, which is now discontinued and there are almost no remains of it.

The line connects 5.3km from Monorail Ofuna Station to Monorail Dreamland Station in about 8 minutes, and the maximum gradient on the line is up to 100 per mille, which is relatively hard in the world of monorail. The first station was located on the north side of the line called the Dreamland Line operated by Dreamland Monorail Co., Ltd., just opposite the Shonan Monorail when viewed from Ofuna Station on the JR Line. This time, I will introduce the outline of this route and a walk around the abandoned railway track as a video.
