Lakota was raised here and she was/is my perfect dog. And much like me, Kota has imprinted, rehabbed, trained, conditioned 100's of dogs. We both believe in "doing it right in the first place" and then expecting "them" to do it from then on.

Kota no longer lives with me. She moved in with Maripat & Reid before they brought Karma home as a baby. So these days, if I need Kota to help me with a dog, I bring her home; but she lives full time in her 2nd home. She has done a great job of training Reid, goes to work with Maripat and grabs Karma's back leg to keep her in line.

Maripat & the girls live close so they are able to come to class often. So last week, Kota & I decided that after working on Hunt It Up, Check & Find Mine that Rally would be fun to do next.

We do not train as if anything was for competition BUT rather we concentrate on dependable, steady and consistent,good work ethics as the results.

This was the first Rally week and after the introduction, I added signs to the simple pattern and as always, added complication and chaos as well. By the end of a month of fine tuning, there will be a number of teams capable of competition IF they decide to. Beyond that, I use Rally as the fidget work to make improvements in the team in everyday life.
