Creativity is precisely what we need at times of great change and yet for many, the mythology, the stereotypes and the baggage associated with creativity keeps us from engaging. The volatility of the world we navigate today demands a set of behaviors like tolerance for ambiguity, curiosity, imagination and play (yes, PLAY). In this virtual keynote, Cindy Foley, director and CEO of the Grand Rapids Art Museum, demonstrates how intentionality around our personal and professional creativity can lead not only to a more dynamic and fulfilling life, but also to a more beautiful, just and equitable world. We can borrow from the insights of art museums and their research into the way artists think to help us maximize our own innate creative thinking and passion for experimentation and play.
