TRACKSIDE ADVENTURES
I caught three CN freight trains within 30 minutes at the Jasper Yard. When I arrived at the Jasper Station, a CN mixed freight was coupling back to its train after dropping 7 box cars in the yard near the train station, soon departing westbound. Shortly after, a two-locomotive consist with a single gondola in tow made its way towards the yard office for a crew change after doing some switching further away in the yard. As the new crew made its way back to the east end of the yard, a heavy CN crude oil unit train arrived on the main track, stopping in front of the train station. – Jasper, Alberta – September 1, 2021
