Anglia Productions (ITV) fascinating programme outlining the renovation of Woodbridge Tide Mill which had decayed from just before 1900 until work to renovate started around 1957 aided by its purchase in 1968 by Mrs Jean Gardner and her husband. The Mill re-opened on June 3, 1977. It also pays tribute to the dedicated team of designers, structural engineers, project managers, fundraisers and skilled workmen who restored the Mill. These hard-working supporters ensured that the Mill remains one of only two working tide mills in the UK still producing stone ground flour from the action of the tides.
The video includes film of the opening ceremony, renovation work as well as interviews with Norman Scarfe, Mr & Mrs Gardner, Donald W Insall & Associates Architects, F Ingram Smith Ltd Builders, Jameson Marshall and Derek Ogden Millwrights, David Nichol and many others.
