Today I made a cake without an oven & microwave! This time I made a christmas fruit cake or Tea Time Cake very soft & moist
Cake. It is a perfect tea time snack and can be baked without Oven and without a microwave. In fact it bakes even better in a pot . this method of baking can also be used for baking breads and pies as well .Baking in a pot has never been easier !

Ingredients For fruit Cake


2&1/2 Cup all purpose flour(Sifted)(Maida)

1 Cup Sugar

1 TSP Baking Powder
1 TSP Baking Soda
Pinch of
250g Butter

1/2 Cup butterMilk

chopped dried apricots
raisins

2 round cake tins (greased with oil)

1 large pot/vessel

Stand/ Rack


Steps:

1) preheat the pot for 5 minutes on high flame

2) After placing cake, first bake on medium flame for 5 minutes, then low flame for the rest 40 minutes .

3) After 35 minutes insert a toothpick once to check if the cake is done.

If the toothpick comes out dry, the cake will be done! If not bake for 10 minutes more. ( total baking time is 40 -45 minutes .
