Error 15 - Problems with Autoterm Air (Planar 2D / 44D) diesel parking heaters.
(PU-5 control unit: 9x flashes)

Error 15 means the battery voltage is too low to let the heating start (below 20V for 24V on-board power, or 10V for 12V.

Error 15 is mostly due to old batteries or cabling, i.e. insufficient power, or fuses that are not properly connected. A good test: just start the heater with the engine of the vehicle running to support the power supply or use a battery charger. If this works, the electrical installation of the vehicle should be checked and, if necessary, renewed at suspicious points.
