The Colorado River rises in the Rocky Mountains and flows over 2,300km to the Sea of Cortez. Across seven US states and Mexico, around 40 million people rely on it for water and energy. Now, this is under threat.

Climate change, explosive urban growth, and political wrangling could prove a lethal combination for this great waterway. But can collaborative river management help to save it? We investigate the Yakima Basin’s pioneering approach and how this might avert a Colorado crisis.

In this video, we'll be discussing the Colorado River Conflict, and how it's impacting California and Los Angeles.
