The technique varies slightly by model, but in this video, I show you the specifics for the iPad 6.

iPads are tied to an iCloud account via the SN on wifi models. On cellular models, it is tied to the SN and IMEI.

So one of the steps for removing iCloud, is to remove a specific resistor on the motherboard, so it then converts the iPad to WiFi only version & removes the IMEI from the operating system.

We then need to replace the WiFi chip to be the appropriate model for an iPad 6 WiFi model, which is 339S00446. This step requires highly skilled microsoldering skills. Not for beginners!

Then we have to write a new SN, WiFi, BT address to the device using a Purple Mode programmer.

After that, the iPad will be unlocked & fully useable.
