Remember Steve Highway, the Liverpool legend? He's back in the news, and not just for his football skills. He's finally opening up about the one chapter he wishes he could rewrite! Let’s journey with him and settle once and for all, why players like him have gone extinct!

Born on November 25, 1947, in Dublin, Steve Heighway is an Irish football legend known for his skill as a winger. He moved to Sheffield for school, attending High Storrs School and Moseley Hall Grammar School in Cheadle. But before jumping into football, Heighway hit the books and studied economics and politics at the University of Warwick, where he graduated with a 2:1 in 1966.
One fine day, while playing for Skelmersdale United in 1970, Liverpool's scouts spotted him and then, the rest is history. The team's manager, Bill Shankly, was looking for fresh talents to boost his squad, and Heighway seemed just right. He joined Liverpool in May 1970, and his smarts even earned him the nickname 'Big Bamber', after Bamber Gascoigne, the host of 'University Challenge'.
