Tata Tiago EV Car Latest Update
Latest Update: The Tata Tiago EV has completed its one year in India.

Price: Tata’s electric hatchback is priced from Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 12.04 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom pan-India).

Variants: Tata is offering it in four trims: XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux.

Colours: You can buy the electric hatchback in five monotone exterior shades: Signature Teal Blue, Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist, Pristine White and Midnight Plum.

Battery Pack and Range: The Tiago EV can be had with two battery pack options: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. Both battery packs are mated to an electric motor that churns out 61PS/110Nm for the smaller battery and 75PS/114Nm for the bigger one. With these battery packs, the electric hatchback offers a claimed range from 250km to 315km.

Charging: Tata’s electric hatchback comes with four charging options: a 15A socket charger, 3.3kW AC charger, 7.2kW AC charger and a DC fast charger.

Here are the charging periods for both batteries:

15A Socket Charger: 6.9 hours (19.2kWh), 8.7 hours (24kWh)

3.3kW AC Charger: 5.1 hours (19.2kWh), 6.4 hours (24kWh)

7.2kW AC Charger: 2.6 hours (19.2kWh), 3.6 hours (24kWh)



DC Fast Charger: 10-80 per cent in 57 minutes for both

Features: It boasts amenities such as a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a four-speaker Harman sound system with four tweeters, and auto AC. It also gets rain-sensing wipers, steering-mounted controls, and cruise control.

Safety: In terms of safety it gets dual front airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD and a rear-view camera.

Rivals: The Tiago EV locks horns with the Citroen eC3 and MG Comet EV.
