What's the difference between cashback and rewards credit cards?

Cashback credit cards are a great choice, but so are rewards cards. So how do you know which is better? It's simple Which credit card gives the highest cash value for every dollar spent? If your rewards card gives you 100,000 points for spending $10,000 and a $150 Hotel room can be redeemed for 100,000 points, then you'd be getting 1.5% back from the actual cash value (which is better than a 1% cashback card). Simply do the math yourself to find out if cashback cards are better or worse than rewards/points cards.
