A perfect skiing day above the clouds in the valley at Zell am See in Austria. This was one of the best days for skiing. The weather in the valley was dark and grey, as I took the Areit Xpress gondola up the mountain there was a breakthrough the low cloud base to reveal glorious sunshine on the Zell am See ski slopes.

If your thinking of skiing in Austria, Zell am See is definitely worth taking a look.


Zell am See is an Austrian town by the lake Zell. It’s also one of the most popular ski resorts in Austria.

The ski card covers over 400km of piste and includes both Kaprun and Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
