[Recorded 4-22-22] Welcome to the University of California, Berkeley! This is The Campanile, also known as Sather Tower. This is the third tallest clock tower in the entire world and has a total of 61 bells!! The tower has 8 actual floors but is equivalent to the height of a 20-story building. The bells play three times a day and sound beautiful. In this video, we ride the elevator that goes up the middle of the tower. The floor indicator makes the elevator seem really slow, but it's actually going really fast. The elevator stops at the "7th floor" and then you have to walk up a flight of stairs to actually get to the top. The views from the observation deck are amazing. General admission is $5 but I say it's quite worth it. I can now say I've been to the Campanile! Enjoy the video!
