Hare Krishna !!

Try out this this delicious snacks recipe known as patra or Alu wadi. This crispy and beautiful looking snack is perfect for anytime and has a wonderful flavour of native ingredients.

Ingredients

10 - 12 big colocasia leaves or arbi leaves
2½ cup gram flour or besan
Salt to taste
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
2 tbsp chopped jaggery
2 tbsp sesame seed
1 tbsp ginger chilli paste
4 tbsp tamarind pulp
Around 1 cup water ( as per requirement )
Pinch of baking soda
Some oil for shallow frying

For patra -

3 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seed
½ tsp cumin seed
¼ tsp fenugreek seed
2 tbsp sesame seed
3 to 4 slitted green chillies
Some curry leaves
¼ tsp asafoetida or hing
Garnish it with grated fresh coconut
Some chopped coriander leaves
